Good Afternoon All;

Hmmm what location do I put this nifty email in? Should it be in General News? The Ugly Host Section? “After all it does include a hosting company”, or shall I make a new section about all the “scams” taking place on the internet these days?

Yes yes yes I know… It always seems as if I am putting down all the bad things and am not working on the good things. I will be happy to work on the good hosting however I have not really seen any good hosting things taking place these days. I do have a few that are in the running and I promise I will get them on ASAP. So for now let’s get back to the email I just picked up… I do thank them for sending me the email, as it motivated me to blog today.

This is the email that I just picked up. I am going to mark a few “keywords” in red and will explain in detail what I think, found and a conversation I just had with one of these folks.

Ok so the above email sounds good right? and please do not forget the words listed in “red”…After all they want nothing from me. However I spent some time clicking around on the link to “learn more” (should be called LERN MORE on how they can steal your money).

This is what I found… I found one of those very long webpage’s, the kind you have to scroll down forever “your first clue that it is a scam”. The page was decorated like my 12 year old nephew designed the site (see for your-self http://www.contactermail.com/ownadbiz.htm). Down on the bottom of the website it clearly says “pay your domain name and website hosting” with a button to PayPal (http://www.paypal.com). But hang on a second…. do you remember those red words listed above? I thought they wanted nothing from me, If you ask me that seems like massive confusion right off the start.

So as they say “what the hay” I will click the PayPal link and just see what “nothing” means to them. This is what I found (I real big LMAO if you will).

“Contacter Mail/HostForWebsite-Domain Name & Hosting Fees     $69.00 USD for each year   $69.00 USD”

As you can clearly see…. the words they use “we want nothing from you” means you have to pay $69.00 per year for your domain name and hosting. However this really does not add up! As they are associated with a hosting company “sister company” called “Host for Website Hosting Company” located at http://www.hostforwebsite.com. When you look at this hosting company they list service starting at $0.75 cents per month right up to $2.25 per month… Even at the high end of $2.25 per month that is $27.00 per year for hosting! and they want $69.00 per year? I really don’t get it… after all they said they want nothing from me.  It looks as if this company “Host for Website Web Hosting Company” was sucked into nothing but a scam… But they are re-sellers so what could one expect. Trust me when I say I will look further into both these folks, as it looks like they both are working hand and hand. All one really has to do is take a look at all the complaints both places have picked up (this can be done by a simple web site index via Google). This hosting company does list a location of 111 N. Orange Avenue Penthouse Suite 2000, Orlando FL, 32801…. Now this is the good part. If you Google that location you will see many places and businesses come up under that address (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=111+N.+Orange+Avenue+Penthouse+Suite+2000&btnG=Search) you will also see a few other hosting companies come up as well as attorneys… The best thing I found was a photo the so called “data center” that is a photo that has been used over and over (it is a classic photo and is NOT this companies servers).

Guess what? I think I just answered my own question from the start of this blog post….what location to put this in? well we are going to place them in the same spot as the rest, and that is The Ugly Host Award.

FYI folks…… This is a complete scam so do not even waste your money. As for the conversation I had with a person that works for “both” of these companies… Well let’s just say I questioned the price and quoted the email of them wanting nothing from me… Jay (as he said his name was) hung up the phone.
